Dive into the deep blue as we learn all about our neighbor the Atlantic! Children will create texturized art with beach materials found right here in Charleston. They will also explore making sea creatures, and print with shells and real fish!

Explore on of world’s largest continent and learn about the many diverse art forms to which it is home. Children will create African masks, Kente Cloth weaving, and Creating the great pyramids.

Don’t throw that away! Children will learn the importance of recycling and all the amazing things that can be made out of recycled materials. We will make musical instruments, collages, and found object sculptures.

Children will engage in fun projects exploring and understanding the basic techniques of art—painting, drawing, creating, and sculpting—while highlighting creativity and self-expression.

We will focus on the author and illustrators Eric Carle, Dr.seuss. Ages 7-12 will be inspired to create a work of art from famous comics such as Charlie Brown, Garfield, and Marvel superhero.
